Nicholas Burks has enjoyed building and learning how things were constructed since childhood. He graduated from LSU with a degree in Construction Management and began working in the engine room on ships for the oil and gas industry. During his off weeks he started working on home renovations in Slidell, and over time decided to make a career change to the construction industry.

After the Historic Flood of 2016, Nicholas moved to Denham Springs to help family and strangers alike with the flood aftermath. He founded Burks Construction in early 2017 and continued to build his small business through home renovations, additions, and trim carpentry projects. He has consistently prioritized learning, following best practices, and honing his carpentry skills. He was presented with an opportunity for work in the roofing industry and soon roof replacements and repairs were added to his repertoire.

In 2020, he travelled to Lake Charles with his team to tarp roofs and help residents directly after Hurricanes Laura and Delta. Nick got involved in the rebuild efforts after witnessing the great need for roofing from honest, local construction companies. For months he travelled from Baton Rouge to Lake Charles for roof replacements, eventually deciding to focus his efforts closer to home.

With his years of experience in renovations, additions, framing, roofing and carpentry, Burks Construction has the combination of skillsets required to tackle all of your roofing and framing needs for both residential and commercial projects.
